About Kwizda Agro
Kwizda Agro GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of plant protection and biocide products headquartered in Vienna with a production site in Leobendorf, Lower Austria. Founded in 1926 as the Agro Division of Richard Kwizda, the company develops, produces and distributes chemical and biological plant protection products, biocides, growth promoters, fertilizers and repellents. In the area of tolling (contract manufacturing), Kwizda Agro offers partners the complete value chain: formulation development, registration, procurement, production, filling/packaging, analytics and logistics. Core technologies are fluid bed granulation for dust-free, easy-to-dose granulates as well as microencapsulation (MicroCap Protect) for controlled active ingredient release. Around 10.000 tonnes of plant protection products are manufactured per year at the Leobendorf site, split into approx. 40 % granulates (WG, SG, MG) and 60 % liquid formulations (EW, EC, SC, CS, FS, CL, ZC). With 460 employees and nine sites, the company supplies over 200 customers in 40 countries as well as agriculture, forestry, viticulture and the consumer sector (Home & Garden). Since 2015, the company has been managed via an ISO-certified integrated management system.
