About us

Kyburz Maschinenbau AG is a Swiss manufacturer of hydraulic winches based in Uznach in the canton of St. Gallen. The company, founded by Heinrich Kyburz in 1948, developed its first tractor winch in the same year and has specialized in the development and manufacture of winches since 1969. The range includes single and twin drum winches for frame and three-point hitches, cable cranes (three-point and stand cable cranes), as well as accessories such as guide rollers, end stops, round slings, and fastening accessories. Custom-made special orders and tailored frames and attachments—from the back winch to the traction winch—are a particular focus. Approximately 80% of the winches and their components are manufactured in its own facility; additional components are sourced from qualified suppliers. Since 1990, development has focused on fully hydraulic drive variants. Customers include forestry, construction, municipal, and agricultural sectors; the products are continuously developed in close cooperation with customers.
