Kyon Energy Solutions GmbH is a Munich-based project developer and operator of grid-connected large-scale battery storage systems. The company accompanies projects across the entire value chain: from nationwide greenfield analysis and site securing, through grid connection planning, development of building rights and business model development, to technology selection, turnkey construction as general contractor, and operation including maintenance and optimization. Kyon Energy realizes battery storage systems with capacities of around 5 MW to over 140 MW and capacities of approximately 8 to around 300 MWh. The systems provide system services such as primary control power and reactive power, as well as revenues from spot market optimization and avoided grid fees. The portfolio includes realized projects of 309 MW, systems under construction of 1.2 GW, projects ready for construction of over 1.5 GW and a project pipeline of more than 7 GW. Kyon Energy is part of a corporate group with Kyon Energy Finance GmbH; the parent company is TotalEnergies, which is consolidating its German electricity business together with Kyon Energy under 'Integrated Power Germany'. The team comprises more than 41 employees.
