About Lacroix + Kress
Lacroix + Kress GmbH is a manufacturer of copper wire products in bright, tinned, silver-plated and nickel-plated surface finish. The product range includes copper rolled rod, single wires, multi wires, braiding wires, strands and highly flexible ropes as well as Copper Clad Steel, Copper Clad Aluminum and copper alloys. At the Bramsche site, oxygen-free dip-rolled rod (Cu-OF1 per EN 1977) in the diameter range 8.0 to 14.0 mm is produced in the company's own dip-rolling plant using the DIP-Forming process; the wire drawing department produces single wires from 0.05 to 7.0 mm. At the Neunburg vorm Wald plant, multi wires, braiding wires and conductors are produced in bunch-stranded, concentric, Unilay or rope lay-up with cross-sections from 0.01 to 35 mm²; in addition, electroplating lines are available for tinning, silver plating and nickel plating. The semi-finished products are used in the cable, automotive, food and aircraft industries, medical technology and infrastructure. The company produces at both sites with around 250 employees.

Materials and Processes
Oxygen-free copper (dip-rolled rod)
In-house DIP-Forming production with smooth surface, good formability and hydrogen resistance.
High-purity copper
Hydrogen-resistant TWH quality with good welding and brazing properties.
Cast and rolled rod (purchased)
Input material for the wire drawing department from international manufacturers.
Silver-alloyed copper
Silver content 0.01–0.10 % for increased recrystallization temperature and higher strength.
Tin-alloyed copper
With 0.3 % tin as input material for wire drawing.
Phosphorus-deoxidized copper
Alternative cast and rolled rod grade with lower quality than oxygen-free copper.
Copper Clad Steel
Composite material in the product program for copper wire products.
Copper Clad Aluminum
Composite material of copper and aluminum in the product program.
