Laix Technologies is a company founded in 2013 by Dipl.-Ing. Mirco Hengst and based in Simmerath, specializing in laboratory devices and laboratory automation. It is built on many years of experience in special-purpose machinery construction for laboratory applications: the first SFC automation for fat and oilseed analysis was designed as early as 2003 and has been continuously developed ever since. The portfolio of services covers planning, development, design, production, software and service – from standard devices to special solutions, custom new developments and prototypes. Products include SFC automation (Standard, Economy, ECO) with sample changers, semi- and fully automatic parallel reactors, dry block heaters with classic temperature control and Peltier technology (SFC dry block heaters, PDB and CDB series, VariLab system), reaction blocks, analytical instruments as well as stirrers and temperature-controlled stirrer plates. In addition, software solutions for laboratory automation are developed. The products are used primarily where special solutions are required – among other things in chemical and pharmaceutical research, in food analysis and in the cosmetics industry. According to the company, all systems run in continuous operation in Europe and the USA.
