About Lampart Holz

Lampart Holz GmbH is a medium-sized family business in the wood industry based in Pleß (Iller) in the Allgäu. As a planing and finger-jointing plant, the company processes around 25,000 m³ of sawn timber per year, mainly domestic and Nordic spruce, fir and larch from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Northern Europe. Production includes drying in three drying chambers to 14–18 % wood moisture, cutting on the band saw, finger-jointing with camera and X-ray inspection as well as pressing at up to 90 bar, and planing from straight-edged to profiled boards on three planing machines. This produces solid wood products for construction projects, facade construction, structural applications and interior finishing for the southern German, Austrian and Swiss markets. In addition, a timber retail store with exhibition offers a wide range of natural products for private customers; assembly work is carried out by a permanently employed carpenter and three freelance workers.
