Lang Chemie is an Austrian family-owned company founded in 1955, headquartered in Mauerbach near Vienna, which manufactures a broad spectrum of chemical specialties. At two production sites, the company produces, among other things, additives for gasoline, diesel and heating oil, technical greases (lithium, calcium and aluminium greases of NLGI classes I to III), biodegradable rapeseed-oil-based oils, corrosion protection waxes, technical cleaners, de-icing and antifreeze agents, as well as specialty products such as biocides and corrosion protection agents. Production is based exclusively on in-house developed formulations, some of which are patent-protected; the development, optimization and control of the formulations is carried out in cooperation with the Vienna University of Technology, the University of Vienna and independent testing institutes. The production program comprises more than 2,500 active formulations. Delivery takes place depending on the product in small containers (filling in Mauerbach) or by tank and rail tank car (Braunau/Inn site). Customers include more than 20 national and international oil companies, the public sector and large industrial buyers, for whom private-label products including technical safety documentation are also manufactured. The company has been TÜV-certified since 1995 (currently EN ISO 9001:2015).
