Family-run coffee roastery since 1959
Langen Kaffee GmbH & Co. KG is a family-run coffee roastery in Medebach in the Sauerland region, which has been roasting according to the traditional drum roasting method since 1959. The company roasts over 40 coffee varieties from growing regions such as Honduras, Brazil, Guatemala, Rwanda, Colombia and India – from 100% Arabica espressos to Arabica/Robusta blends (85/15) to decaffeinated organic coffees. The slow roasting at low temperatures takes place in a drum roaster; decaffeination is carried out using natural carbonic acid from springs (CO₂ method). The green coffee is traded directly and fairly, among others from the Cooperativa Puringla in Honduras and the Fazenda Baixadão in Brazil, and is stored, roasted and packaged in Medebach. Sales channels are the roastery's own retail shop with personal advice, an online shop with DHL shipping, and the supply of gastronomy and commercial customers. Several roasts have been awarded gold at tasting competitions of the Deutsche Röstergilde.
