About the Langenthaler Bierbrauerei
The Langenthaler Bierbrauerei Mosimann is a private brewery, or microbrewery, from Langenthal in the Oberaargau region, Canton of Bern. It was founded in 2015 by Marcel Mosimann and Stefan Affolter and has been run by Marcel Mosimann alone since 2022. The core product is the self-developed house recipe «Fürobebier». The beer is brewed by hand according to the company's own recipe with carefully selected raw materials such as water and malt. At the Ringstrasse 57 site, a 5.5 H/l three-vessel brewhouse built with a great deal of in-house effort is in operation; fermentation and maturation take place in fermenting and storage tanks in cooling rooms on the ground floor. The third floor houses the malt store, malt mill and water heater for the sparging water (second mash water), while the basement contains the water treatment system and a small workshop. The brewery serves the population and gastronomy of the Oberaargau region and supplies customers in Switzerland.
