About Langer Hydraulik
Langer Hydraulik GmbH is a specialized manufacturing company based in Solingen that has focused since 1995 on the production of cylinder tubes for hydraulic cylinders. The value chain comprises skiving/roller burnishing, roller burnishing and honing (including blind bores with cross-hatch pattern) as well as sawing and further processing on request; contract machining is offered. Materials processed include carbon steel tubes to EN 10305-1/2 and EN 10216-1, stainless steel tubes to EN 10216-5, and aluminum tubes with inner diameters of 30 to 600 mm, including imperial sizes. Standard tolerances are ISO H8/H9 at a surface roughness of Ra max. 0.3 µm. With three roller burnishing machines and one honing machine, approximately 250,000 m of cylinder tubes are produced annually; production lengths reach up to 18,000 mm. The company, certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, supplies hydraulic cylinder manufacturers in the Bergisches Städtedreieck region and beyond.

Materials and Processes
Skiving/roller burnishing
Chip-removing fine machining of the tube inner surface to produce sealing running surfaces for hydraulic cylinders.
Roller burnishing
Radial pressing of burnishing rollers against the tube inner surface produces the required surface roughness of Ra 0.2–0.3 µm.
Honing (including blind bores)
Creates a cross-hatch pattern with improved tribological properties and bore quality, also as a basis for chrome-plated inner surfaces.
Carbon steel (seamless)
Seamless precision tubes as starting material for cylinder tubes.
Carbon steel (welded)
Welded precision tubes for cylinder tubes in standard specifications.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel cylinder tubes for applications with increased corrosion requirements.
Aluminum
Aluminum cylinder tubes for lightweight applications.
