About LANITZ-PRENA
LANITZ-PRENA FOLIEN FACTORY GmbH is a manufacturer of covering films and covering fabrics for model making and general aviation. The company emerged from LANITZ-MODELLBAU, founded in Berlin in 1975, which initially produced flying model building kits and accessories. In 1985, production of its own covering film began under the ORACOVER brand name; since the re-privatization of the PRENA plant in Leipzig (formerly VEB ISOFOL) in 1992, production has taken place at the headquarters in Leipzig, and since 1993 in three-shift operation. The product range includes polyester covering films (ORACOVER, ORALIGHT, ORASTICK, EASYPLOT), the ORATEX textile covering fabric, lightweight aviation paints (ORACOLOR 2K elastic paint) and a non-shrinking 2K filler based on PU. The materials are UV-blocked special polyester films and polyurethane systems; the products are used for covering model aircraft and light aircraft as well as for painting polyester, GFRP, CFRP, wood and metal. References include Solar Impulse 2 (HB-SIB) and numerous light aircraft types.
