About Ekon
Ekon is the flat extrusion division within Lankhorst Engineered Products, a Dutch company founded in 1803 that has been active in sustainable plastic solutions since 1975. The company produces high-quality plastic sheet and strip material from HDPE, LDPE, PP as well as specialties such as TPE and biopolymers, each in virgin or recycled quality. All manufacturing takes place in-house in Born: from flat extrusion of sheets and strips to die-cutting and perforating on rolls, and onward processing through milling, forming and welding, which is carried out with a long-standing partner. Ekon thinks along from raw material selection to the end application and offers advice on material selection, design and execution. Well-known product brands include Ekoboard, Ekogrip, Ekosheet, Ekoprotect and Ekoshield. Customers come from OEM, mechanical engineering, agriculture and livestock farming, landscaping and garden construction, civil engineering and infrastructure, public spaces, and industry. The circular economy is part of the company's DNA: Ekon originated from plastics recycling and uses recycled plastics wherever possible.
