About Largentec Vertriebs GmbH
Largentec Vertriebs GmbH was founded in 2007 in Berlin and specializes in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of antimicrobial technologies. Its core product is AGXX®, a catalytically acting antimicrobial system based on redox reactions and micro-electric field effects that prevents biofilm formation and effectively inhibits bacteria, viruses, fungi and algae – without pharmaceutical active ingredients and without conventional biocides. The material is used, among other applications, in cooling and process waters, metalworking fluids, electroplating, air filters, textiles (including Lyocell), paints, and construction materials and facade coatings (Facade Coat, Facade Paint). Product solutions also include CLEANCEL® and PathoClear, a biofunctional filter material for medical respiratory protection. AGXX® was successfully tested on the International Space Station; tests for the Mars-500 mission are in preparation. The company, based in Berlin (2–10 employees), has a representative office in Tokyo, Japan, and also provides development and consulting services in the field of antimicrobial technologies.
