About LaSelva
LaSelva is an ecological organic farm with origins in 1980, when founder Karl Egger moved from Munich to southern Tuscany. From an initial seven hectares, an organic estate with more than 800 hectares in Albinia – Orbetello (province of Grosseto) developed. On the estate, fruit, vegetables, olives and wine are grown and processed in the own farm manufactory into more than 200 organic specialities, including antipasti, pestos, tomato products, pastes and olive oil; in addition, on 35 hectares of viticulture, grapes for the DOCG Morellino di Scansano are pressed in the Cantina LaSelva. Tomato products are produced at the La Dispensa production facility in Donoratico, in which LaSelva has held shares since 1996. Distribution for the German-speaking market is handled by LaSelva Toskana Feinkost Vertriebs GmbH in Gräfelfing near Munich with direct sales, an online shop and retail partners. The operation is controlled by ICEA under the EU Organic Regulation, is Naturland and Naturland Fair certified, and meets IFS Food standards.
