About LSG Dresden

Laser, Schneid und Gerätebau GmbH (LSG) was founded in Dresden in 1992 and is a metal processing manufacturing center for custom fabrication based on drawings. The production spectrum includes 2D and 3D laser cutting (5-axis), laser welding, welded assemblies (WIG, MAG/MIG, stud, spot, and point welding), CNC edge breaking, 5-axis and vertical CNC machining, as well as mechanical and pneumatic assembly. Materials processed include steel, stainless steel (V2A/V4A), aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, and titanium; plate thicknesses from 0.5 to 12 mm, welded assemblies up to 3,000 x 1,500 mm and 1,000 kg. On production premises of approx. 2,000 m², 55 employees produce everything from simple cuts to complex assemblies in multiple shifts—supplemented by ultrasonic cleaning, surface coating in cooperation, and 3D measurement technology in the climate-controlled measuring room. Customers come from mechanical and plant engineering, vehicle construction, aerospace, medical technology, microelectronics, renewable energies, railway technology, and other industries.

Quality

Quality is checked at every manufacturing step using monitored measuring instruments; since 2009, tactile measurement is performed in the climate-controlled measuring room on a Thome 3D coordinate measuring machine (approx. 1,200 x 700 x 600 mm). Upon request, the customer receives test protocols and first article inspection reports.
