About LASEROPTIK
LASEROPTIK GmbH, based in Garbsen near Hanover, is a manufacturer of high-performance laser optics and optical thin-film coatings for wavelength ranges from VUV (120 nm) to IR (beyond 2,500 nm). The family-owned company, founded in 1984, coats customer substrates and its own standard substrates using six processes — thermal evaporation, electron beam evaporation (EBE), IAD, ion plating, magnetron sputtering and ion beam sputtering (IBS) — on more than 40 coating systems. Special IBS systems enable coatings on large optics up to 2 m in length or 550 mm in diameter; with IBS, reflectivities of up to 99.999% are achieved with losses below 10 ppm. The product range includes mirrors, partial reflectors, AR coatings, thin-film polarizers, complex filters, chirped mirrors and dispersive coatings, as well as coatings on crystals, wafers, metals, fibers and UHV windows. Producing around 180,000 optical components per year, LASEROPTIK primarily supplies laser manufacturers, industry, medical technology, aerospace and scientific research. Production takes place on approx. 7,900 m² in three production buildings, including 1,000 m² of cleanroom, complemented by three ultrasonic cleaning lines and an extensive portfolio of metrology equipment.
