About Laternix
Laternix is a family-owned company founded in 2013 by Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Michael Härtl, based in Traunstein in the Chiemgau region (Upper Bavaria). The founder previously served as head of development at Siteco, where he played a key role in driving the transformation to LED technology. Laternix develops, manufactures and markets LED lighting solutions for the modernisation of existing luminaires, with a focus on outdoor lighting. The LEDiKIT® portfolio comprises model-specific ONE FOR ONE replacement modules as well as flexibly deployable ONE FOR MANY kits with an E27 interface for decorative, historical, functional and architectural luminaires, floodlights and spotlights. Development includes optics development with ray tracing, circuit and layout design, and CFD simulation of LED cooling; validation is carried out in an in-house photometric laboratory (luminous intensity distribution, electrical parameters, temperature measurement, climate chamber, outdoor testing). Materials are aluminium with highly transmissive safety glass and housings made of high-performance polymer; the electronics are protected by conformal coating. Customers are municipalities, utilities, electrical contractors, specialist planners and luminaire manufacturers in Germany and beyond, including Luxembourg, Denmark and South Tyrol.

Quality & Testing
Product validation is carried out in an in-house photometric and luminaire technology laboratory: measurement of luminous intensity distribution and electrical parameters, temperature measurement with individual sensors, load testing in the climate chamber and outdoor field trials. The design ensures conformity with the applicable EN safety standards, e.g. EN 60598, EN 63031 and EN 62560.
