About Lauffener Weingärtner eG
Lauffener Weingärtner eG is a multi-award-winning winegrowers' cooperative based in Lauffen am Neckar in the middle Neckar valley between Heilbronn and Stuttgart. Around 1,100 members cultivate a vineyard area of approximately 890 ha as a multi-family enterprise, of which 120 ha are terraced steep slopes along the Neckar and Enz rivers. On average, about 11.0 million kg of grapes are harvested per crop year and processed in the cooperative's own winery into quality and premium wines, rosé, Blanc de Noir, Sekt, Secco, Schorle (wine spritzer), non-alcoholic wines, brandies and liqueurs; part of the range is certified as organic wine under ECOVIN or Bio Baden-Württemberg. Typical grape varieties are Trollinger, Lemberger, Schwarzriesling, Spätburgunder, Riesling, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Grauburgunder and Weißburgunder as well as international varieties such as Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Sales take place via two wine shops in Lauffen and Mundelsheim, an online shop, wine tastings and events as well as event rooms. 60% of the wine is sold within Baden-Württemberg, 40% outside.
