About Lawo AG / RAVENNA
RAVENNA is a technology for the real-time distribution of audio and other media content in IP-based networks. It was developed by ALC NetworX, which today is part of Lawo AG headquartered in Rastatt; Lawo continues the development of the technology. RAVENNA uses standardized network protocols, can be operated in existing network infrastructures and is natively fully compliant with AES67 as well as SMPTE ST 2110-30/31. Fields of application include signal distribution in broadcast facilities and fixed installations, flexible setups at venues and live events, OB van support, and inter-studio connections over WAN links. Lawo AG is a public limited company (HRB 707330, Mannheim District Court) whose business activity is the manufacture and distribution of electronic devices and accessories; the company licenses the RAVENNA technology to manufacturers in the pro-audio industry and supports partners with implementation, among other things with hardware and software solutions, training, and trade show presence. The RAVENNA Partner Network comprises developers and manufacturers from the pro-audio industry who integrate RAVENNA into their own products; application industries include broadcast, pro audio, sports events, studios, game audio, and the installation market.
