About us
LB Materialprüfung AG is an independent testing laboratory accredited to SN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, based in Spreitenbach, Switzerland. The company assures, tests and certifies the material quality of components and systems in the metal and plastics processing industries. Its testing portfolio includes destructive testing methods such as tensile, Charpy impact, bending, compression, hardness and spring testing as well as component testing up to 1000 kN, non-destructive testing methods (PT, MT, ET, UT, VT, RT), chemical material analysis by optical emission spectrometry (OES) and positive material identification (PMI), as well as metallographic and metallurgical investigations including scanning electron microscopy and failure analysis. Materials typically tested include non-ferrous metals, iron and steel materials, Co, Ni and Ti alloys, and plastics with or without fibre reinforcement, as well as ceramics and mineral components. An in-house workshop for specimen preparation, mobile testing methods, on-site inspections and a shuttle service (Spreitenbach–Baden–Birr) round out the offering. Test certificates are archived electronically in compliance with standards for the long term.
