About LEAX Detmold
LEAX Detmold GmbH has been manufacturing gears and gearboxes to individual customer specifications since 1945. The company, based in Detmold (Remmighauser Straße 85), employs around 125 staff and was formerly known as Gebr. Brinkmann. Its range of services covers the complete process chain of an order – from raw material procurement via gearbox design and gear manufacturing through to assembly, the in-house hardening plant with LPC hardening, test bench run, metrology and documentation. Products include planetary, spur, worm and bevel gearboxes as well as wheels and gearboxes for hydraulic motors. Further focal points are the repair and overhaul of existing drives as well as contract manufacturing of gearing and shafts. Since 2020, four highly automated production lines for gearbox components for the passenger car industry have been operated in Detmold. Main fields of application are the steel and iron industry, the rubber and plastics industry, the food and beverage industry, conveyor technology and rail transport. The company has belonged to the Swedish LEAX Group, a manufacturing partner with locations in Europe, America and Asia, since 2013.
