About Leclanché
Leclanché SA is a Swiss manufacturer of lithium-ion cells and complete energy storage systems, founded in 1909 in Yverdon-les-Bains. The vertically integrated company develops and manufactures the entire value chain from the cell through modules with battery and energy management systems (BMS/EMS) to the battery pack. Cell manufacturing takes place at the Willstätt site in Germany, among other things as large-format lithium titanate cells with a patented ceramic separator and water-based electrode production. At the headquarters in Yverdon-les-Bains, series production of the Navius MRS-3 Marine Rack System has been running since 2025; it is type-certified by Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas and DNV. The solutions are used in shipping, rail, commercial vehicles, power grids and microgrids as well as in special applications. The listed company (SIX: LECN) employs more than 350 staff with representations in eight countries.
