About Lefatex Chemie GmbH
Lefatex Chemie GmbH, based in Brüggen-Bracht (district of Viersen), is a company of the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group and specialises in the production of dispersions, emulsions, compounds and blends for the textile and nonwovens industry. Production takes place in stainless-steel and enamelled reactors ranging from 1 to 20 tonnes, at melting temperatures up to 180 °C and 10 bar pressure. In addition to its own products, the company offers toll formulation according to customer recipes, for example based on dispersions, aqueous solutions and pigments. For technical textiles, coating processes such as InkJet coating, PTFE coating, silicone rubber, sun-protection and blackout coating, pigment printing as well as hydro- and oleo-phobisation are used. With the FASALOOP product range (formerly LEFALOOP), a demonstrably closed recycling loop for polyester (PES) and polypropylene (PP) has been implemented. The company is also involved in government-funded research projects and is a member of the TUDALIT brand association (textile concrete construction). Business operations were discontinued as of 1 July 2026; the product portfolio is transferring to the Fiber & Textile Auxiliaries business unit of Zschimmer & Schwarz.
