About LEHVOSS Composite Materials

The Composite Materials business team of Lehmann&Voss&Co. in Hamburg develops and produces the LUVATOL® magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide thickening pastes for controlled, reproducible thickening of unsaturated polyester resins in SMC and BMC production. Well over 30,000 t of MgO are sold annually; the standard range comprises up to 20 pastes with precisely defined properties. In addition, the team offers specialty products for thermoset compounds, including coextruded polyamid RELEASE FILM carrier films for SMC and relining applications, LUVOGARD® flame retardant additives, LUVATINE® dispersing aids and LUVOTRENT® release agents. Since 2010, the business team has also supplied products for vacuum infusion technology: PEEL PLY peel fabrics based on PA 6.6, COMBIMESH flow aid composites and coextruded polyamide VACUUM FILM. Product development, production, laboratory and pilot plant are located under one roof at the Hamburg site; customers include manufacturers of SMC/BMC molding compounds in Europe.
