About the Leichtbauatlas
The Leichtbauatlas is an interactive online portal that presents lightweight-construction-relevant competencies in Germany and Europe. It is not a manufacturing company, but a digital and free-of-charge reference work published by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). The platform is material- and technology-agnostic as well as industry-neutral and enables organizations such as companies, institutes and associations to present their processes and activities in the field of lightweight construction in their own profile. Using an interactive map, a comprehensive criteria filter and a search function, actors, funded projects of the Lightweight Construction Technology Transfer Programme (TTP LB) and best-practice examples can be found in a targeted manner. Editorial support and operation are provided by the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU in Chemnitz. The Leichtbauatlas is available in German and English and is available to registered organizations free of charge.
