About Leipold + Co. GmbH
Leipold + Co. GmbH is an automation technology company founded in 1982, headquartered in Rockenhausen (Rhineland-Palatinate). The company develops and manufactures digital components for welding technology, including welding process controls, power sources, motor controllers, robot interfaces, handheld remote controls as well as accessories such as water coolers and gas flow sensors. Value creation takes place predominantly in-house: PCBs are populated with two fully automatic SMD placement machines, then soldered, inspected, tested and programmed; cable manufacturing comprises cutting, assembling and testing BUS and wiring cables. In mechanical manufacturing, machine housings made of aluminium sheet are punched fully automatically and bent, inserted and assembled semi-automatically; windings and insulators for flat transformers and coils are also produced on in-house-built machines. Customers include, among others, the welding technology manufacturer EWM. With the Q9S series, the digital power source LSQ4 (1999, world premiere) and the patented microMIG process, Leipold has repeatedly set its own development priorities.

Quality
All PCBs are function-tested and programmed after population, soldering and inspection; BUS cables are tested with a semi-automatic testing device and cables are fully tested. The company has been certified to ISO 9001 since 2021.
