About Lenco
Lenco is a brand for audio and video devices that traces back to Lenco AG, a company founded in 1946 by Fritz and Marie Laeng in Burgdorf (Switzerland). The company initially produced household products, and from 1949 turntables; up to 400 employees worked at the Burgdorf headquarters plant, with additional plants in Steg (Valais) and Osimo (Italy). The best-known product of the original company was the Lenco L 75 turntable introduced in 1967 with a continuously adjustable speed of 30–86 rpm. After the insolvency in 1977, the brand name changed owners several times: in 1984 Horst Neugebauer KG (Lahr), in 1997 Lenco STL Group (Venlo), and since 2015 Commaxx International NV (Netherlands). Today the product range includes turntables with Bluetooth, FM, DAB+ and internet radios, CD players, speakers, soundbars and televisions, which are distributed via the company's own webshop platform.
