About the Atelier

LEUCHTEREI is a lampshade atelier at Missionsstrasse 27 in Basel, where lampshades have been made for over 50 years. With the acquisition of the company Dekolamp at the end of 2024, owner Dodo Baranzelli continues the tradition under the new name LEUCHTEREI. In its own atelier, lampshades and matching frames are made to measure – from clean lines to extravagant curves. The covering materials used are silk, cotton, linen and wallpaper; the workmanship is done by hand, including sewing, pleating, gathering and laminating. In addition to custom-made products, the atelier offers restoration of old lamps and lampshades as well as consultation. Together with The Sitbar, LEUCHTEREI combines lighting and interior design for private living spaces.
