About Leuenberger G. & Y. SA

Leuenberger G. & Y. SA is a Swiss family business in décolletage (automatic lathe turning) based in Eschert in the Bernese Jura, founded in 1964 by Gilbert and Ruth Leuenberger. The company manufactures custom precision components to customer drawings in brass, lead-free brass, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, titanium and plastics such as PEEK. Its diversified machine park enables lot sizes from 50 to several million parts with diameters from 1 to 65 mm; the company's own rework (reprise) department with 5-axis milling machines and lathes machines parts up to 200 mm in diameter from bar stock. Services also include high-end finishing such as diamond-like coating (diamantage) and piece-by-piece machining of sensitive components as well as customizable watchmaker's loupes as promotional gifts. Customer industries include the watch industry, luxury goods, writing instruments, connectique, medicine, aerospace, optics, automotive and more. Part of production is exported directly to Europe, the USA and Canada. Quality management has been ISO 9001 certified since 2011; the company trains apprentices and sources materials preferably from Swiss suppliers.
