About us
LSS Licht-, Steuer- und Schaltanlagenbau GmbH was founded in 1994 and is a specialist company for stage lighting technology, industrial lighting and television studio lighting. The company is organized into four divisions: development, manufacturing, planning and construction/installation. In the development department in Dresden, proprietary product lines such as network nodes, dimmers, luminaires, submaster consoles, road cases and stage multicore cables are created. Manufacturing takes place on in-house production lines with CNC-controlled machining, surface treatment (powder coating) and final assembly, supported by a CAD/CAM environment with SolidWorks and Edgecam. In the planning department, control and switchgear systems are engineered using the CAE software EPLAN Electric P8; the installation division builds and installs lighting systems on site and carries out cabling for stage and machinery technology. Customers include theatres, opera houses, TV broadcasters (including ZDF, MDR, RBB, NDR), civic halls, churches, museums and schools in Germany and abroad. The devices are RoHS-compliant and receive new features via software updates; LSS operates a repair service in Dresden.
