About Lichtgitter
For over 95 years, the Lichtgitter Gruppe has been developing and producing grating solutions for industry, architecture, infrastructure, offshore, warehousing and logistics. The product range includes pressed gratings made of steel, stainless steel and aluminium, combined gratings with checker plate, sheet metal profile gratings, GRP gratings and GRP structures as well as staircase constructions such as spiral staircases, 100% manufactured in Germany. The value chain is complemented by an in-house steel service with slitting of hot-rolled wide strip, hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating and the distribution of resistance-welded wire mesh via the subsidiary Draht Müller. The group is represented by subsidiaries in 19 countries and operates, among others, the manufacturing site Lichtgitter FRP Slovakia for certified GRP gratings. As the first company worldwide, Lichtgitter received a general building authority approval (ABZ) for GRP gratings. Reference projects include the Wuppertal Suspension Railway, the Max Planck Institute Dresden, the Stuttgart City Library, Europa-Park Rust and the Ahoy Convention Centre Rotterdam.
