About Lignalux
Lignalux is an Austrian manufacturer specialized in luminaires made from solid wood, based in Vienna-Liesing (1230). The company produces modern LED pendant and suspended lights for dining tables, kitchen islands, work areas and hallways, as well as individual custom made-to-measure designs. In addition to manufacturing, Lignalux offers lighting design and lighting consultancy – from concept development to technical implementation for residential spaces as well as offices and screen workstations in the B2B sector. Wood species such as oak, walnut and ash from sustainable European cultivation are used, with surface finishes ranging from natural to oiled to lacquered; the high-quality LED components come from renowned Austrian manufacturers. Production takes place in Vienna, and the luminaires meet the requirements for the lighting of indoor workplaces. Founder Ing. Christian Dohnal has been active in the lighting industry for over 20 years; the company started as a side business in 2013 with the first prototypes of modern wooden luminaires.
