About Likörfabrik Peter Busch
Likörfabrik Peter Busch GmbH & Co. KG produces the herbal liqueur Killepitsch in Düsseldorf, a dark, bitter-sweet liqueur with 42 percent alcohol by volume. The recipe is regarded as a closely guarded family secret; 98 different essences from herbs, berries and fruits from all over the world are used, which are stored in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After the extracts are blended, the so-called premix matures for several months in stainless steel tanks before alcohol, water, sugar and caramel are added to turn it into the finished liqueur. Production has taken place since 2005 in the glass factory in Düsseldorf's Media Harbour, a 27-metre-high cubic building with 5,500 m² of floor space. Killepitsch is sold throughout Germany and exported to over 40 countries. The liqueur has been served since 1955 at the original production site "Et Kabüffke" at Flinger Straße 1.
