Limeburners Bay International AG (LBI) is a social enterprise founded in 2017 and headquartered in Basel that develops sustainable, affordable healthcare innovations. The company offers digital health platforms, cyber-physical systems (hardware and software for medical device applications), and in-silico biomarker discovery with in-vitro validation. Its activities are organized into three business units: Technology, MedDev Central, and Consulting. Through its consulting division, LBI offers training, workshops, contract research, and bespoke consulting projects along the lifecycle of medical devices and digital innovations. The focus is on equitable access to high-quality, affordable healthcare in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC). The company combines concurrently running technology development and consulting activities and pursues the goal of becoming the first medical technology company to achieve net-zero carbon emissions.
