About Limus Zukunftsschmiede
Limus Zukunftsschmiede e.V. is a registered association with recognized non-profit status, based in Gotha. The association operates a space for personal and collective development and offers seminars, workshops, dialogue events as well as organizational and process facilitation. In the association's workshop, located in the premises of the former RÖSCH Stahlbau GmbH, craft-based educational projects take place, such as the "Handcraft Instead of Mobile Phones" project with the Arnoldischule Gymnasium in Gotha. There, young people independently produce components and objects such as birdhouses, football goals and wooden signs, largely from wood and recycled materials. The Limus community is a network of actors from culture, education, social affairs, health and business. In 2024, the association was awarded the Engagement Prize "Promotion of Democracy and Non-Violent Political Culture" by the Thuringian Volunteer Foundation.
