Special machinery construction for mastic asphalt since 1878
Linnhoff & Henne GmbH & Co. KG is a mechanical engineering company based in Stadtoldendorf, specialising in special machinery for mastic asphalt. Founded in 1878 as a coppersmith's shop, the family-owned business develops and manufactures mastic asphalt cookers with vertical and horizontal agitators, joint sealing kettles for joint sealing and crack repair, road marking kettles, laying machines for bitumen welding membranes, as well as dumpers, grit spreaders, silos, laying screeds and work equipment. All machines are custom-built, configured to customer requirements in terms of capacity, chassis (basic frame, truck or trailer), heating system (oil or gas) and paint finish. Consulting, design and manufacturing are all under one roof; production takes place in modern production halls on the factory premises at the former York barracks. The machines are used primarily in road, bridge and tunnel construction, among others at the Hamburg Elbe Tunnel, on the Øresund Bridge and on a bridge project in Hong Kong. In addition, the company, with around 40 employees, offers repairs, a 24-hour spare parts service and on-site machine instruction.
