About Lippische Eisenindustrie GmbH

Lippische Eisenindustrie GmbH in Detmold has been producing nuts and hot-formed parts made of steel and stainless steels since 1917. The company specializes in the hot forming of hexagon nuts, wheel nuts, dome (klockner) nuts, lock nuts, flange nuts as well as drawing parts such as nut retainers, gas cylinder necks and threaded rings, in the size range from M12 to M64 or 1/2 to 2 1/4 inch according to DIN, ISO, EN, ASTM and ASME. The value chain includes in-house design and toolmaking, hot forming, internal heat treatment to AMS 2750 with temperature profile charts, precision finishing (doming) and coordination of external surface coatings such as electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, zinc flake and zinc-nickel. With around 150 employees, the company, now in its fourth generation of family ownership, generates revenue of over 30 million euros. Customers come from wind energy, railway track construction, offshore, automotive, steel construction, the chemical industry and shipbuilding, including General Electric, Siemens, Enercon, Nordex and Deutsche Bahn AG. The Detmold plant has its own rail siding.
