About LKH
LKH Kunststoffwerk Heiligenroth GmbH & Co. KG is a system partner for thermoplastic injection moulding and assembly, based in Heiligenroth in Rhineland-Palatinate. As a company of the Friedhelm Loh Group, around 190 employees develop and produce plastic components and assembled units with over 35 injection moulding machines (up to 1.850 t clamping force) for automotive, electrical engineering and electronics, renewable energy, logistics, building services, as well as refrigeration and compressor technology. The range of services extends from design and material selection through overmoulding of metal parts (hybrid components) to fully automated assembly, application of PUR foam seals and laser marking with DataMatrix codes for batch traceability. Materials processed include highly filled and flame-retardant thermoplastics, glass-fibre-reinforced plastics with up to 50% glass fibre content, high-performance polyamides and 100% regranulate. Customers include Rittal, Kaco, Viessmann and Porsche. Production takes place in highly automated, integrated manufacturing cells at the Heiligenroth site.

Materials and Processes
Glass-fibre-reinforced plastic (up to 50% glass fibre content)
For hybrid and structural components with high requirements for strength and stiffness, e.g. track components.
High-performance polyamide
Used for load-bearing components such as tap-changer switches, which must withstand the highest loads.
Highly filled and flame-retardant materials
For switchgear and electrical engineering assemblies with corresponding safety requirements.
100% regranulate
For sustainable solutions such as reels for clip machines for sausage filling.
PUR foam
Applied fully automatically to seal assemblies such as filter fans and connector housings.
Aluminium
As a flange in the hybrid component for air suspension systems, overmoulded with plastic.
