About LKI Industrievertretungen
LKI Industrievertretungen GmbH, based in Wilnsdorf near Siegen, has been a partner for refrigeration, air conditioning and environmental technology for more than 25 years and supplies finned heat exchangers for almost every application. The product range includes CU/ALU finned heat exchangers (CU/AL, CU/AL-Epoxy, CU/AlMg, CU/CU) as well as VA/VA heat exchangers in stainless steel/stainless steel as air coolers, air heaters, heat recovery and circulation-coupled systems, direct evaporators and condensers for water, water/glycol and refrigerants such as R410a, R134a and ammonia. The offering is complemented by polypropylene mist eliminators, series heat exchangers ex stock as well as single-unit, sample and prototype heat exchangers as custom builds with or without casing. Design and performance calculation are carried out using UNILAB software; manufacturing is performed by brazing (silphos/silver solder) under shielding gas, mechanical tube expansion and frame fabrication from galvanised steel, aluminium or stainless steel. Customers include VW Wolfsburg, Fresenius, BASF Ludwigshafen, the Hannen Brewery and the University of Göttingen.

Materials and processes
Copper/Aluminium
Standard combination for finned heat exchangers as air coolers, air heaters and KVS systems.
Aluminium with epoxy resin coating
Corrosion-protected fins, e.g. for ammonia coolers in brewery technology.
AlMg (aluminium-magnesium alloy)
Fin material for increased corrosion requirements.
Stainless steel (VA/VA)
For direct evaporators and heat exchangers with integrated PP mist eliminator, e.g. at BASF Ludwigshafen.
Galvanised steel
Frames and casings made of galvanised sheet steel protect the fin pack and tube bends.
Brass and red bronze
Nipples and sockets for headers, distributors and connection nozzles.
Polypropylene (PP)
Mist eliminators downstream of air coolers for condensate separation and corrosion protection of downstream units.
Brazing under shielding gas
Joining process for return bends and headers with a firm, heat-conducting connection.

Quality
Manufacturing is certified according to EN ISO 9001 (TÜV), and selected geometries (2522, 3228, 4035) are Eurovent-certified. Every heat exchanger is routinely subjected to a pneumatic tightness and pressure test under water according to DIN 8964 (20–30 bar) as well as a visual, dimensional and tightness inspection at the LKI external warehouse; TÜV acceptance for custom builds is available on request.
