About the LMB Group

Since 1994, LMB Laser-Materialbearbeitungs GmbH has been offering laser material processing as a service and acts as an extended workbench for companies in all industries. Its core competencies lie in laser welding and joint welding, in laser cutting and fine cutting (including water-jet-guided laser cutting of films from 0.02 mm), in laser marking, engraving and ablation, as well as in manual laser deposition welding for the repair of injection molding, die casting and stamping tools. Materials processed include steels, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and copper alloys, titanium, nickel, as well as organic materials and coatings. The group of companies, with around 60 employees, also includes its sister company LMB Automation GmbH, which since 2000 has been developing and building industrial production systems with the laser as the defining tool – from project planning through design and electrical engineering to integration, training and on-site installation. The company is headquartered in Iserlohn in the Märkischer Kreis district (North Rhine-Westphalia).

Quality

Evaluation of results is carried out on a production-accompanying basis in the in-house laboratory using a fully automatic 3-D measuring microscope and a manual measuring microscope with camera support; weld seams are assessed by means of micrographs. The service offering is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (QUACERT).
