About LOC Holz
LOC Holz GmbH, based in Arbing, Upper Austria, produces solid cross-laminated timber as well as highly prefabricated timber modules for solid timber construction. Value creation begins in the company's own sawmill in the Mühlviertel region, where regionally harvested timber is sawn into sawn timber, dried, and quality-graded according to strict LOC specifications. After cross-cutting and finger-jointing, the cross-laminated timber elements LOC ELEMENT and the design cross-laminated timber panel RIFTLOC® in rift-sawn quality are created through dimensionally stable pressing. Under the name LOC SYSTEM, the company offers modules with a high degree of prefabrication that enable rapid construction times – for example for rooftop extensions and densification. Customers include private individuals, municipalities (daycare centers), commercial and industrial clients in Austria and Germany. The company places great emphasis on sustainability: timber from certified forestry, a 1.8 MW photovoltaic system, CO2-free internal transport, and heat generation from sawdust.
