About Lock ProSystems
Lock GmbH, headquartered in Ertingen, develops and manufactures under the Lock ProSystems brand drive solutions and work and maintenance platforms for rail vehicles, aviation, large vehicles and industry. The portfolio includes worm gears (including VRE 76), rack and pinion gears, electromechanical lifting drives, power drives (EWA, EZW), manual drives, couplings and control units including LockLogic®. The systems are used in assembly and maintenance processes and are engineered to customer requirements; the offering is complemented by consulting, risk management, ergonomics analyses, acceptance testing, maintenance and a 24h service hotline. In facade technology, drives are used for solar shading, natural ventilation, smoke and heat exhaust systems (SHEVS) and photovoltaics, for example at the Königsbau Passages in Stuttgart and the Stadtlagerhaus in Hamburg. The gears feature aluminium housings, and all externally exposed gear parts are made of stainless steel; maintenance platforms are manufactured in steel and/or aluminium. The company demonstrates an in-house production depth of over 80 percent and supplies, via distribution partners, among other markets France, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland and India.
