About Federn Löhr
Löhr GmbH & Co Präzisionsfedern KG is a manufacturer of technical springs and bent parts founded in 1952 by Karl Löhr and headquartered in Schwabach. The manufacturing portfolio comprises compression springs, extension springs, single-torsion and double-torsion springs, wire bent parts and stamped-bent parts, produced to drawing and sample – from prototypes and small series through to volume production. Materials processed include spring steel, stainless spring steel, copper beryllium, bronze, brass, other non-ferrous metals and aluminium; compression springs and extension springs are manufactured in wire diameters from 0.1 to 3.0 mm. In addition, the company offers surface treatments such as gold plating, nickel plating, tin plating, zinc plating, chrome plating, phosphating, painting, powder coating and shot blasting, as well as contract manufacturing and custom development. Customer industries include mechanical engineering, medical technology, the automotive industry and electrical engineering. The company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9002 (TÜV) since 1997; in 2014, Löhr and its subsidiary JUL Metallverarbeitungs GmbH were merged at the Schwabach site.
