About Löwenbrauerei Dold
Löwenbrauerei Dold GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed private brewery in Elzach in the Black Forest. Founded in 1856 by Konstantin Dold sen., who came to Elzach from the Villingen area, the company is today run in the fifth generation by Johannes Dold. Beer is produced in the brewery's own production: in the brewhouse with a casting volume of 4,500 liters, wort is brewed, stored in metal storage tanks and then bottled on the company's own bottling line. The bottle washing and bottling line dates from 1969 and has been continuously renewed and expanded since then. The brewery sells its beer varieties through its own on-site sales outlet and delivers throughout Germany. In 2006 the company celebrated its 150th anniversary; for its brewing quality it was awarded the Bundesehrenpreis of the German brewing industry.
