The Brewery
Löwenbrauerei Hall Fr. Erhard GmbH & Co. KG is a mid-sized private brewery based in Schwäbisch Hall in north-eastern Baden-Württemberg. Under the name Haller Löwenbräu, the family-owned company produces around a dozen beer varieties, including helles (Meistergold), pilsner, wheat beers, Radler variants and seasonal specialities such as Volksfestbier (fair beer) and Bock beer; the Mohrenköpfle beers are considered a regional speciality. Since 1968, the subsidiary Wildbadquelle Mineralbrunnen GmbH & Co. KG, which produces mineral waters and lemonades, has belonged to the company. The raw materials water, hops and malt are sourced regionally where possible; the brewing water comes from the Wildbadquelle's own springs in the Swabian-Franconian Forest. The brewery relies on a slow brewing process, modern brewing technology and high hygiene standards, and voluntarily has its beers independently tested. Its sales territory primarily covers the surrounding districts of the Schwäbisch Hall/Hohenlohe region; its customer base includes the catering industry and the beverage retail trade. Around 70 employees work at the company together with its subsidiaries.
