Adhesive technology and beyond

Lohmann is a German manufacturer of adhesive technology and industrial adhesive tapes. The company develops and produces customized bonding solutions for automotive, cards & security, electronics, flexographic printing, household appliances, industry, medical technology and smart building – from single components to process-integrated, fully assembled products. Production includes in-house coating of adhesive masses (jumbo rolls), converting, high-precision die-cutting including cleanroom die-cutting, as well as 3D printing and dispensing tools. In the company's own Bonding Arena, adhesive bonds are tested under real application conditions; R&D develops new adhesive formulations through the Smart Bonding Approach. As a development partner, Lohmann offers engineering support, supply chain services and traceability across the entire value chain. In the medical field, biocompatible materials and stick-to-skin tapes as well as turn-key assembled products are manufactured. The company originated in 1851 as Julius Lüscher in Frankfurt am Main; in 1998, Lohmann Medical merged with the Austrian Rauscher to form Lohmann & Rauscher International GmbH & Co. KG with head offices in Rengsdorf and Vienna.
