Baumgartner Sawmill (Lorenz Baumgartner e.K.) is a family business with more than 100 years of tradition as a sawmill in the Rosenheim area, headquartered in Frasdorf, Upper Bavaria. The heart of the operation is the sawmill with its gang saw facility, in which tree trunks up to 12 metres in length are cut. The company specialises in the production of construction and structural timber from spruce; in addition, laths, boards, square timbers, beams, frames, decking boards and firewood are produced. The raw material used is predominantly winter-felled timber from local forest owners, mainly spruce as well as fir, larch and pine. In addition to its own production, hardwoods are cut and contract sawing services are performed for customers from the region; the company also runs a timber trade with tongue-and-groove boards. Customers are private customers, trade and industry; standard products can be delivered with the company's own truck within one day thanks to covered storage areas.
