About LORENZ Elektromotoren und CNC Fertigungstechnik
LORENZ Elektromotoren und CNC Fertigungstechnik GmbH is a family-owned company based in Sandhausen near Heidelberg. Founded in 1989 as an electric motor repair shop, the company is today a specialist in the repair of servo drive technology as well as in CNC manufacturing technology. Since 2012, precision parts and mechanical assemblies have been manufactured – from design and CAD-CAM implementation through prototypes to series production. Processes include CNC milling (including 5-axis and 5-axis simultaneous machining), CNC turning, conventional turning and milling, sawing, welding and assembly; surface treatment and heat treatment are carried out in cooperation with partners. Aluminium and steel are machined; with a travel of 850 x 700 x 500 mm (HERMLE C400) and a turning length of 1050 mm (DMG MORI ecoline 510), larger components are also manufactured. Customers come from industries such as mechanical engineering, robotics, aerospace engineering, medical and dental technology, mould making, nuclear power plant technology, automotive engineering as well as paper, food, chemicals and glass. Since 2014, the company has been operating in its own hall in Sandhausen built to modern energy standards with a solar installation. The company is an authorised repair shop for VEM, FLYGT and Fein.
