About Lorenz Messtechnik
Lorenz Messtechnik GmbH, based in Alfdorf (Baden-Württemberg), has been developing and manufacturing torque sensors in numerous versions since 1985. The product range includes rotating torque transducers with and without slip ring as well as static reaction torque transducers, some with integrated speed and angle sensors. In addition, the company produces force transducers for compressive and tensile force, multi-component sensors for force and torque, load cells with weighing electronics as well as measuring amplifiers and sensor interfaces. Torque sensors are offered in full-scale ranges from 0.005 N·m to 20000 N·m. Beyond sensor manufacturing, the company realizes custom test benches such as engine test benches and torque test rigs as well as software and measurement data acquisition. Since October 2003, the company has operated its own in-house DAkkS calibration laboratory in which torque sensors, force transducers and measuring chains are calibrated with a relative measurement uncertainty of 1 × 10-4. The products are used in research and development, measurement, control and regulation technology, automotive engineering, energy and environmental technology as well as mechanical engineering.

Products and Technologies
Strain gauges (SG technology)
SG signals with ±3.3 mV/V form the sensor basis of the amplifier and sensor products.
Measuring electronics (16-bit A/D conversion, microprocessor)
High-precision amplifiers and fast processors enable measurement accuracies of 0.1% of full scale and measuring rates up to 1000/s.
