Losma S.p.A., headquartered in Curno near Bergamo, has been developing and manufacturing cleaning and filtration systems for air and fluids on machine tools since 1974. Typical applications lie in machine tool construction and machining, including machining centers, turning, grinding, spark erosion, sawing machines, industrial washing machines and waterjet cutting, as well as in the chemical/pharmaceutical, rubber/plastics, and optics industries. The Curno site offers 17,000 m² of total area with more than 5,000 m² of covered production space; an expansion to 9,000 m² of covered area is underway. Through subsidiaries in Germany (near Stuttgart), the USA (Sparta, New Jersey), India (Pune with its own production plant), and Great Britain (Strensham), Losma supplies customers internationally.

Founded by Giancarlo Losma; first product ASP1 filter unit for air cleaning of oil-containing contaminants; later systems for coolant cleaning.

Joined the Italian machine tool manufacturers' association UCIMU.

Start of the international sales network with the first British distributor.
